I have a similar problem. When i look at all the diffrent backrounds in "Display Properties" it shows all the pictures in my computer. Last version of windows Display Properties only showed default Windows Backrounds. I want to know how i can set Display Properties so it only displays default Window Backrounds. That was indeed my problem, had to remove couple of registry keys and disabling the start up run for the program to get my computer to be as it was, the only problem is that I deleted the reg.
