Hey All, I'd like to preface this by saying I am very new to Kontakt, so if any of this seems like common sense, it's not to me. I consider myself good with computers, but I cannot for the life of me figure out how to make these three work together.

I've read other forum posts saying to create a "Samples" folder in the SSD library and copy the NKX folders into that, but the library doesn't even have that file type in it.

Does anyone else have some experience with this? I'd really like to be able to use any of the products I've bought at this point, but I am stuck because I can't activate Kontakt 5 until I have a valid cross grade base product which I bought. Please help if you can, thank you! Beedubbs , Jan 20, Messages: 2, You should also submit a tech support request, that's the first thing they will tell you to do Im guessing its Logic 8 cause according to Steven everything is working with his setup.

SSD4 1. There are so many MAJOR issues it's not even close to useable I've owned this plug since Jan and have not once been able to use it successfully. You can check my post from yesterday on the main SSD 4 thread link in post above detailing just some of the issues. Really bummed on how far off this plug is from being useable. This latest update the one from yesterday or the day before has made SSD 4 Plat actually worse than it already was.

Its weird because I am running the same system and I and a couple of others can't load any samples without a low memory error, I am running 64bit and the samples are on an external drive, it obviously can't be much thats different.

Yeah, they screwed up by thinking they could build a new player from scratch and just drop Kontakt. Dumb Dumb Dumb. It takes a long time to do that. Just look at the Play engine.

They're trying to fix things that were'nt broken in the first place. Steven should have at least made some basic kits for Kontakt until he can make a player thats usable for everybody. Im using SSD 3.

I dont want any part of the new player. Steven Slate. I'm gonna respond on the other thread to keep things in one place. That's the idea. Cheers, Steven.

Low memory and no crash cymbals. Installed library on one of my SATA sample drives. I am getting the same behavior in Pro Tools and Logic. I don't have crash cymbals, and getting low memory errors on kits. I basically have not been able to use SDD 4 yet. I frequently run templates with full orchestra loaded and it has been a long time since I have had any low memory issues.

My current setup of choice is Vienna Ensemble Pro 5 outside of Pro Tools 10 to host my audio instruments streaming audio and midi back to Pro Tools. This setup has been flawless using many different plugins in my setup. SSD gives me the same problems. I can run my rig at 64 bit with Logic.

I even helped beta test the 64 bit drivers for the Apogee Symphony system. However, I would like to think that this software runs as advertised in 32 bit. The samples sound amazing! SSD4 makes editing your kits a breeze. Select individual drums, customize the mics and routing, choose your MIDI maps, customize your velocity and dynamic curves for each drums, and build your custom tone exactly as you want it.

It also allows you to easily route your drums discretely to your DAW so you can use your favorite plugins to get the ultimate drum tone. Steven just gets it. Hands down. He even tracked them…. Clean, fat, and punchy snares, toms, and bass drums. Recently, I started using the Steven Slate Drums. I am extremely pleased. The extra air and depth of the sounds is a fine upgrade to my drumagog library….

Jonas Brothers, Motley Crue, Jewel. The Steven Slate Drum samples are the best sounding drum samples available. The variety is fantastic, I can find a drum sound for any given mix. Evanessence, Papa Roach, Hoobastank.

These samples are just what I need — a vast library with GREAT sounding drums that instantly and easily fit into a mix. Drum replacement can be a tricky thing. The samples need to be designed to work WITH the track…. The most realistic sounding drum samples I have ever heard. There is a snare or kick here to fit into any pop, rock or metal mix. These are the best on the market, the new industry standard….
